THE BRIEF
Margot and Frank wanted a bespoke event that demonstrated their combined passions, fine dining, wine and Star Trek. (Side note: Frank has one of the largest collections of Star Trek souvenirs in Holland). Finding the happy marriage between Margot’s elegant almost Chanel-like style and Frank's interest in all things space allowed us to create the perfect canvas for avant-garde, planetary floral installations and mirrored formal table scapes. Frank’s heritage is from the Netherlands and having been born in the city of Delft and Margot being raised in the Cape Winelands, the couple were keen to honour their individual heritages on their wedding day. Storytelling and ceramics go hand in hand so we were inspired to use the Delft heritage in a modern way, where this was a focal feature that framed the most significant part of Margot and Frank’s wedding - the commitments and exchanging of vows. Each plate was hand-made and painted by a local South African ceramic artist with unique details chosen by Margot and Frank. The guests then received a plate as a wedding favour at the following day’s brunch.

"Luke Krone had the unique ability to accurately interpret our style and transform it exactly into the dream wedding that we had in our minds. He is synonymous with perfection, which he pulls through as a golden thread. He allowed us to sit back, let go and just enjoy every moment. Luke is an incredible person with a passion that just shines through him. He is definitely one of the best wedding planners this industry has to offer."
